Resistance, peace and love

It’s a time for resistance.  There is so much going on in our country – and proposed for the future – that is evil, that it’s time for us to take to the streets, to make it clear that we will not stand idly by.

Yet we want to find ways to do our resistance that are as peaceful as possible – that build peace rather than conflict.  And we want as much as possible to come from a place of love: loving the innocent victims of governmental policies, yet also loving our enemies.

This paradox of resistance and love will not be easily attained. It’s going to take a lot of practice.  It will be most attainable in the context of community.  This blog can help us to build community and to sort out the relationship between resistance and love.
